Avala Resort & Villas is a beachfront property at 2 Mediteranska in Budva, 50 metres from the Old Town walls. The original Hotel Avala was built in 1937 and was among the first hotels on this stretch of the Adriatic coast. Villas were added in the 1960s and a new hotel building went up in 1983. Accommodation covers standard and superior rooms, suites and two-bedroom penthouse suites across two floors with sea and Old Town views. Ten two-bedroom villas sit in the grounds. All rooms have air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar and safe. The resort has two outdoor swimming pools — one on the upper floor near the spa with sea views, the other near the villas in a more private setting. The indoor pool has floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlooking the sea and Old Town. A jacuzzi with hydro massage jets sits beside the indoor pool.
