Award-Winning Sand Beach at Bečići

Bečići Beach extends for over two kilometres along the coastline in the eastern direction away from Budva Old Town. The beach is backed immediately by a substantial strip of hotel accommodation and resort facilities that developed in response to the beach's 1936 international recognition and the Paris award designating it as Europe's most beautiful beach at that time. This historical accolade established the beach as a destination for visitors throughout the twentieth century. The beach surface comprises fine pebble material interspersed with sand accumulation, creating an underfoot texture softer and more comfortable than the rockier pebble stretches found in closer proximity to the Old Town. The beach holds official Blue Flag environmental and safety designation, indicating conformance with international water quality and facility standards. Lifeguard patrols operate seasonally during summer months when visitor numbers peak. Commercial sunbed and umbrella rental services operate along the beach length, with pricing beginning from €6 per pair of loungers, representing more economical rates compared to sunbed hire on Slovenska Plaža. Beach bars and restaurant establishments line the entire beach length, offering food and beverage service throughout the day and into evening hours. Organised water sports facilities and equipment rental concentrate at the western beach end near the Bečići tunnel access point, offering opportunities for activities such as jet-skiing and parasailing. A designated dog-friendly beach section operates at the far eastern extremity of the beach in the direction of Rafailovići, where dog owners may use the beach with their animals.
